Our honey bee centre is buzzing again as a brand new hive was constructed by one of our wildlife keepers Lisa and her partner Chris. The new hive is alive and thriving in a beautiful new setup, made from recycled timber from our park and gives guests an inside look to the wonderful world of bees and the incredible work they do.
Have a peek next time you’re at the park and be sure to sample some mānuka honey and learn of its incredible benefits.
Did you know a queen bee lays up to 2,000 eggs a day? Talk about a busy bee!
