"Having depression is like walking through mud every day."
On Friday 5th April, we took part in Gum-boot Friday to help raise awareness for mental health.
This is a matter that is very close to the hearts of the owners of the park, the Wilsons, as they sadly lost their eldest daughter, Sophie Wilson, to suicide. They support mental health charities and value the importance of raising awareness, today and every other day.
We dropped money raised in to Kiwi Bank where 100% of the proceeds are donated to the cause.
"On Gumboot Friday we put on our gumboots and walk through mud with people to show that we care and we're out there listening."
