Rehabilitated Hawk Released

After two and a half weeks of rehabilitation our keepers released a Harrier Hawk near 12-Mile Delta. Found dazed on the road, he was brought to us and taken for X-rays immediately. X-rays came back clear, but with a wound on his wing and worries of bone fragments, his behavior and flight was monitored for a couple of weeks.

After treatment the injury healed nicely, the hawk gained weight and showed he was able to fly in our flight aviary, so he was transported to 12 Mile Delta on March 28th for release.
