Updated: Mar 12

One of our much loved kiwi, Tawahi, is back and settled into her exhibit after being under the care of the amazing team at the Wildlife hospital in Dunedin. Tawahi has now had two operations to save her life due to complications when laying egg. She has recovered really well but unfortunately, Tawahi will never breed again. She is an amazing ambassador bird and is a real favourite with all of our staff and visitors so we were delighted to welcome her back. Come to see her in our kiwi house today.

Kia kaha Tawahi!
